DO I SMELL CUPCAKES from Berlin were founded in 2005 and since then they’re making their way all over the world. With their alternative indie rock they’re no insiders´ tip in the German capital anymore.

The four CUPCAKES Dennis Depta (guitar), Jon-Jakob Gendner (drums), Maximilian Tischler (bass) and Kevin Traeger (vocals, guitar, piano) have had concerts in countries like Israel, Netherlands, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia and now it’s going to Japan.

A country with a special bonding to the band. After the triple catastrophe they organized severel benefit concerts in Berlin and bass player Max and singer Kevin went to Japan several times already.

They will be playing several songs from their new „Bodybuilder EP“ which will be released in Japan exclusively in October 2014. The Tour is under the patronage of the German Embassy in Tokyo.

DO I SMELL CUPCAKES ジャパンツアー

ベ ルリンのバンドDO I SMELLCUPCAKESは2005年に結成され、彼らのプログレッシブなインディーズオルタナティブロックサウンドはベルリンだけでなくドイツ国内外 のライブハウスを盛り上げてきた。近年では国内で注目を集めるだけでなく、海外からも多くのオファーを受けている。
デニス・デプタ(Git)、ヨーン・ヤコブ・ゲンドナー(Dr)、マキシミリアン・ティシュラー(Bass)、ケビン・トレガー(Voc, Git, Piano) の４人から成る「CUPCAKES」のツアースケジュールはイスラエル、ハンガリー、チェコ、スロバキアを経て、彼らにとっても特別な関係のある日本にま で繋がった。特にベーシストのマックスとボーカルのケビンは何度も来日経験があり、2011年の東北大震災の際には大々的なチャリティーコンサートをベル リンで開催した事も記憶に新しい。日本ツアーではCUPCAKESが先日レコーディングを終えたばかりの「Bodybuilder-EP」も披露する予 定。
今回はドイツ連邦共和国大使館のバックアップのもとツアースケジュールは上記の通り。

DO I SMELL CUPCAKES aus Berlin gründeten sich 2005 und bringen mit ihrem progressiven Indie-Alternativerock-Sound nicht nur die Berliner Tanzsäle zum kochen. In der deutschen Hauptstadt sind sie kein Geheimtipp mehr. Mittlerweile finden sie national eine immer größere Beachtung und werden international gebucht. Die vier CUPCAKES, bestehend aus Dennis Depta (Git.), Jon-Jakob Gendner (Dr), Maximilian Tischler (Bass), Kevin Traeger (Voc, Git, Piano) führt ihr Konzertkalender über Israel, Niederlande, Ungarn, Tschechien, Slowakei nun nach Japan.
Ein Land, zu dem die Band eine besondere Beziehung hat. Nach der Dreifachkatastrophe 2011 organisierten sie mehrere Benefizkonzerte in Berlin; Bassist Max und Sänger Kevin waren bereits mehrfach im Land der aufgehenden Sonne.

Sie promoten dabei ihre frisch recordete “Bodybuilder-EP” mit brandheißem Material.

Die Tour steht unter der Schirmherrschaft der Deutschen Botschaft.
